Born to Jim and Kay Chitty on August 6, 1984, and having gone to heaven on December 31, 2006, Jay Chitty's 22 years on this earth will never be forgotten. We remember him as an incredible athlete and tennis player; as a caring big brother to Taylor (and as a sweet friend and little bro to Haley); as an easy-going and laid back friend; as one who brought humor and laughter, sincerity, humility, and intelligence; as a big Carolina and Davidson fan... and so much more!

I wonder, especially at certain times, how things would be different if not for the tragic accident.
JayBird would be an adult, and without doubt, he would be most impressive. With a combination of his mother's kindness and his father's wit, Jay would be the friend that you treasured, the person that you admired.

I knew Jay when he was a twinkle in his father's eye!
And I knew Jay when he was waiting to be born in his adoring mom's tummy.
I recall the day that he was born. This day was full of worry about the tiny baby being born early and then joy and measured relief as this premie did well meeting the world. This was just the start of the joy that Jay brought his family throughout his life. Aunt Anne
